I came up with this sauce to have a sweet and smokey flavor. After I made it, I loved it and I hope you do too. I think the sweetness goes really well with pulled pork (my favorite). It might be a little thin for some, but that's the way I like my sauce. If you want it thicker you can omit the water or simmer it longer. You can also adjust the red pepper for the amount of heat you want. I found the 1/8 teaspoon to be just right for me.
